What does 'Cloud-Based' phone service really mean?
Cloud-based means you don’t have to install your own dedicated telephone system, and you don’t have to hire someone to run and maintain it. XIPTEL does it all. There is no commonly accepted scientific or technical definition of “cloud services” or “cloud computing”, but generally the term refers to “network” based services. This means XIPTEL’s core technologies used to provide your phone service are located in secure, protected data centers and is delivered to your company over the Internet. Fast, reliable, effective, and delivered with the greatest value.
What happens if the power goes out or we lose our Internet connection?
Since Xiptel service is 'Cloud-Based', it's not dependent upon your Internet connection or the power in your office. If your office loses power or Internet connectivity, calls can be routed to alternate locations or mobile phones, voice mail can be retrieved via email or by dialing into your voice mail access number from any phone. The phone system's automated receptionist can still answer calls.
Does Xiptel service require a long-term contract?
XIPTEL offers a variety of agreements to provide service, including service on a month-to-month basis, where you can change or cancel at anytime without penalty.
